The Population Exposure Services is an innovative service designed to maximize opportunities for CEET investigators to conduct targeted exposomics research. The service 1) works with the Translational Biomarker Core to determine the biomarkers of exposure and effect that could be measured from newly acquired samples or those in the CEET virtual biorepository; 2) uses geographic information system (GIS) approaches to understand spatially distributed environmental exposure and health outcome data; 3) assists in the design of studies using environmental and biological sensors; and 4) communicates results to affected populations through the CEC. This service provides the means to practice Precision Public Health by identifying the most vulnerable populations to exposures and through biomarkers determine individual susceptibility. The Service may work with the Human Studies Design and Performance Services for assistance with clinical protocols and the Biostatistics Services for power calculations and oversight of statistical analysis.
