Partner with us as a community organization to amplify your impact on environmental health. Our Community Engagement Core is happy to give talks on environmental health topics to your organization or provide resources at your next event. We also offer support in applying for and writing grants, ensuring you have the resources needed to drive meaningful change and create healthier communities together.

Grant Opportunities for Community Organizations

EPA Community Change Grant

The EPA is accepting applications on a rolling basis. The deadline to apply is November 21, 2024. Applications should detail community-driven projects that build capacity for communities to tackle environmental and climate justice challenges, strengthen their climate resilience, and advance clean energy.

DEP Environmental Education Grant

The DEP is accepting applications through November 15, 2024. This grant will fund applications for the development of innovative formal and non-formal environmental education projects. Funding priority is given to environmental education projects that engage people living, working and/or attending school within Environmental Justice areas in topics related to climate change and/or water.

Target Communities

We currently work in 6 communities affected by various environmental issues: West Philadelphia, South Philadelphia, North Philadelphia, Chester, Eastwick, and Lancaster County.

The CEC ensures bi-directional communication with target communities and promotes community engaged research projects.
