Grant Opportunities for Community Organizations

William Penn Foundation Reducing Environmental Burdens in Philadelphia

The William Penn Foundation is accepting applications through April 25, 2025. With this objective and Request for Proposals (RFP), the Foundation seeks to support efforts that will help to measurably reduce environmental burdens impacting communities in Philadelphia, Camden, and/or Chester. They are requesting proposals for one- to three-year projects that will focus on environmental burdens other than dumping and sewage overflow.

Target Communities

We currently work in 6 communities affected by various environmental issues: West Philadelphia, South Philadelphia, North Philadelphia, Chester, Eastwick, and Lancaster County.

The CEC ensures bi-directional communication with target communities and promotes community engaged research projects.
