Community

At CEET, community engagement is at the heart of everything we do. Our work involves collaborative research, education, and advocacy efforts designed to address local environmental concerns. By building strong relationships with community members, local organizations, and stakeholders, we ensure that our initiatives are informed by real-world experiences and needs.

Target Communities

We currently work in 6 communities affected by various environmental issues: West Philadelphia, South Philadelphia, North Philadelphia, Chester, Eastwick, and Lancaster County.

The CEC ensures bi-directional communication with target communities and promotes community engaged research projects.

Community Engagement Core

The Community Engagement Core (CEC) works to provide research information from the CEET research team to the community, professional, and public health decision-makers in order to improve clinical and public health. Concerned with the effects on vulnerable populations including children, the elderly, and underserved populations, the CEC develops models and approaches to community environmental health.
