Evaluating Reproductive Health Effects of Drinking Water Contaminants: Challenges and Advances in Exposure Assessment & Study Design: Under a changing climate and geopolitical reorganization, access to uncontaminated drinking water will become increasingly challenging. This is especially problematic for pregnant people, as pregnancy is a time of significant physiologic change and a window of susceptibility for later disease for both the pregnant person and the fetus. In this seminar, I will discuss the challenges of studying drinking water contaminants and reproductive health outcomes in the US, with a focus on logistical and methodological issues. I will also highlight some of my work in this area that attempts to address these challenges.

The FRESH program promotes the research and career development of early-career environmental health scientists by facilitating scientific visits across six participating NIEHS P30 Centers: Columbia University Health Sciences, Johns Hopkins University, Rutgers University, University of Kentucky, University of Pennsylvania, and University of Rochester.
